Run Sydney Run

So, I’ve waxed poetic about my love of SparkPeople, Runkeeper, potassium, and sleep. Here’s my new running essential: Jog.fm

So, here’s what it does. You put in your pace (or what you want it to be) and it finds music that has the appropriate bpm to help you stay on pace. This is awesome for me for a few reasons.

  1. I can’t run without music. I can’t. I have the attention span of a gnat. If I’m outside, I’m ok for 10ish minutes. But treadmilling it? No.
  2. I find a song I like and play it over. And over. And over. Until I hate it. So I constantly need to find new songs (or rediscover old ones) to put on my running playlist.
  3. I have a hard time keeping pace. ‘Nough said.
  4. It lets you preview songs. That way you don’t have to search crap down or dl it and decide it sucks.
  5. Apparently, listening to music improves brain (and lung) function and running in general. Who knew!
