Mixed bag
Today was pretty good as a whole.
My four things
1. Came up with something on the fly.
2. Held in temper.
3. Did insanity.
4. Ate pretty well.
On the other hand, I found out I was right; a former student was stabbed to death over the weekend. This is my second student to die in violent way. :(

Makes no sense
How did I lose weight on my mini-vacay eating she crab soup and pralines?
My four goods of the day:
1. I got up at a decent hour even though I didn’t go to sleep until really late.
2. I did my taxes!
3. I did over 4 miles!
4. I began the organization of my house. Master bed and bath done… lots of rooms to go.

Ate too much....
but I only when about 200 calories over my limit. Considering I’m on vacation, I’m thinking that’s not too bad. (Granted it helped that we only ate brunch and dinner)

Charleston!
So, after my exercise yesterday, we loaded up in the car and went to Charleston, SC! I was fairly good at not eating all the bread at dinner and not finishing my meal. I got my momma her sea grass basket. Now all I need it my she-crab soup. I bought insanity, but I forgot my gym shorts. I’m hoping to hit a target to remedy that problem!

healthyandbeautiful:
I’m going to be at work alone all day tomorrow so I’ll be checking out new blogs to follow. But I want to follow blogs who post personal things, pictures of themselves/their food/their pets/etc, and just talk about random things throughout their day. I like to get to…

4 things
1. I meditated.
2. I did Insanity.
3. I ate good for me foods.
4. I have 52 people coming to prom!
On a side note, the two most stressful days of being a Junior adviser are Thursday (the Junior Breakfast- I get to feed 100 hungry teens) and Friday, the last day of cheap prom tickets. Woot. Almost over.
Moderation, not deprivation

4 things
1. I gave my students a valentine treat.
2. I didn’t over eat
3. I was told I weighed 120 pounds and DID NOT die laughing. How adorable are students!
4. I’m maintaining a positive outlook in the face of adversity.
He who angers you
controls you.
Deep breath in, exhale out.

Week Seven. Or the Challenge that may not happen
And good lord, I hope this doesn’t sound bitchy. Sorry, Ben, I have food issues. Seriously. Not like bulimia or anorexia. Some might say I’m picky. Others would say that I have Selective Eating Disorder. Some foods SMELL and LOOK awesome, but I can’t eat it. Foods with certain textures make me gag. I put it in my mouth and chew… then toss the metaphorical cookies. That...

Learn to Love A.M. Exercise
(Even if You’re Not a Morning Person)
— By Rebecca Pratt, Staff Writer
I am not a morning person.
This confession will come as no surprise to my friends and family, most of whom have spent many glorious years making merry over my tendency to nod off over breakfast, my need for copious amounts of coffee before noon, and my late-night bursts of...
Week 6 Recap
I feel like crap. :( Like worse than when I was actually sick. I got through 22 minutes of Insanity and was like, no, I can’t do this today. Which sucks. I’ll blame is on the screwy weather and yesterday’s race.
Did you push hard this week? Yes.
How about your buddy? Did you stay connected? Yep.
How have you improved since day one? Faster pace, more pushups.
Any...

Convo with brother... paraphrased of course
Brother: So you did a 10k yesterday?
Me: No, a 12k.
Brother: Oh. So you're going to do a half next?
Me: Um, no. No.
Brother: You might as well. It's what? 13.1 miles.
Me: Yeah, but yesterday was 7.5...
Brother: That's only six more miles.
Me: I'm not sure I can.
Brother: I'm not talking about doing one tomorrow.
Me: Yeah, well, maybe. Like November. Not soon though.

Running Essentials
So, I’ve waxed poetic about my love of SparkPeople, Runkeeper, potassium, and sleep. Here’s my new running essential: Jog.fm.
So, here’s what it does. You put in your pace (or what you want it to be) and it finds music that has the appropriate bpm to help you stay on pace. This is awesome for me for a few reasons.
I can’t run without music. I can’t. I have the...
